Here’s a bit of wisdom that can turn your day around lickety split, and put a dazzling smile on your face. Come with me, and we’ll wander through this idea together:

You know those conversations that happen in our minds, when we replay scenarios of hurt, fear, or rejection? Moments in our lives when we sought the approval, love, or acceptance of another… but it was never given? We re-imagine the conversation again and again, and manage to practically gorge ourselves on the sensation of powerlessness and victimhood.

Have you ever done that to yourself? Been the loser in a conversation in your own head time and again?

It’s time to stop that habit. Next time you find yourself reenacting a full blown loser script stop  and rewrite the scene. Seriously.

Here’s how:

I want you to imagine saying exactly what you wanted to say to the person/people. Keep in mind that as you are re-writing, you can create any story you wish: a comedy, romance, action/adventure, or drama. The only prerequisite is that you are the hero in the story, and get to ride off into the sunset.

Make your imagination muscles work for you, and refuse to cast yourself as the victim ever again! Why would you suffer in your own mind’s play, anyway? Hmmm – that’s certainly something to contemplate and work on releasing, so you don’t have to act out that role any longer.

Who you become in your real life begins in your imagination. So make it strong. Develop the stamina to clearly see good things happening to you in your mind’s eye, and watch the way that positivity begins to manifest.

If you need help in this arena give me a shout and I can help you to kick start your positive imagination muscles for a brilliant, winning new year.
